Vandalism in Cunningham lot

Sometime between 11:30 pm Saturday night and 1:30 Sunday morning, six vehicles were vandalized in the Cunningham parking lot. According to Owen Redgrave, Director of Public Safety, most of the damage consisted of broken windows. No witnesses have yet come forward with information regarding the incident, and none of the owners of the cars have reported anything stolen. Nonetheless, both Public Safety and the Swarthmore Police Department are continuing their investigation of the incident.

Similar acts of vandalism occured in early 2000, when license plates were stolen from various lots both on and off campus, Cunningham lot being one of them. However, there haven't been any similar occurrences since then. In response to the vandalism, Public Safety has been patrolling the Swarthmore College lots with increased frequency.
