Weekend Roundup: Finally, a warm weekend!

Finally, a warm weekend! To celebrate, take a nice long walk in the Crum, or go a little further afield and visit Morris Arboretum or Fairmount Park's Shofuso Japanese Garden to enjoy the tail-end of the Cherry Blossom Festival events.

Swat's got a lot lined up both for specs and students. This Saturday, check out the Jazz Ensemble in Lang at 8:00 p.m., or go to the Chorus Concert on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. In the way of shows, enjoy Tom Stoppard's "Arcadia," being shown in the amphitheater, the perfect venue for a glorious spring day and a play concerned with aesthetics and nature. Also, stop by the Kitao Gallery this weekend to see the photo exhibition showing, for those participating in the photo event, you might get some inspiration.

In the city, check out Center City Gallery Night (tonight) and check out various art galleries before catching a movie at the Ritz at the Bourse (currently showing "The Lookout," "The Hoax," "Zodiac," "Pan's Labyrinth," "First Snow," and "After the Wedding.").

On Saturday, University City's Institute of Contemporary Art is having its Spring Opening, a chance to look at the work of living artists gaining attention and momentum from critics. Finally, consider finishing off the weekend at World Cafe Live, featuring "Balkan Beat Box," a treat for any interested in world music. Most importantly, enjoy the weather and take advantage of the weekend!
