Immaculata Spoils Men's Baseball's Home Opener 9-2

After spending the last week on an eight game road trip in Arizona, the Swarthmore baseball team took the field for the first time at home as they hosted the Immaculata Mighty Macs on Wednesday. But behind aggressive base-running which translated to seven stolen bases, Immaculata spoiled the Garnet’s home opener 9-2 for the first win in Mighty Mac program history. More

Week in Sports: Men's Lacrosse Team Starts Off Season With a Win

On Saturday, sophomore Kenyetta Givans earned two gold medals to lead the Swarthmore women’s indoor track team to a seventh place finish at the Centennial Conference Championships. The men’s indoor track team earned eighth place in the Centennial Conference Championships. The men’s lacrosse team (1-0) got its season off to a winning start by defeating Eastern (0-1) 8-2 on Saturday night. The women’s tennis team (2-0) defeated Oberlin College (3-4) at the Mullan Center 8-1 on Sunday. More

Week in Sports: Tennis Starts Season with Wins

The Swarthmore College women’s tennis team (1-0) got its season off to a winning start on Saturday by beating NYU (0-3) 5-4 at the Mullan Center. The Swarthmore men’s tennis team (1-1) began its home season by easily dispatching NYU 9-0. On Senior Day at Tarble Pavilion, the Swarthmore College men’s basketball team (7-18, 6-12 CC) fell to Haverford 71-48. On Saturday afternoon, the Swarthmore women’s basketball team (12-13, 9-11 CC) defeated visiting Haverford 63-50. More

Swat Men's Basketball Claims Road Victory Over McDaniel 62-51

The Swarthmore Garnet Men’s basketball team has been plagued by road woes over the past three years, failing to win a single road game in 37 attempts. But for the first time since January 24, 2007 at Washington College, the Garnet claimed victory in a true road game, defeating McDaniel Green Terror 62-51 from Westminster, MD on Wednesday night. More
